Day 4 - In the Sermon on the Mount (Matt 6) Jesus gives specific instructions for giving. Along with fasting and praying, giving gives us an opportunity to strip down to the bare essentials. There is an artificial balance between giving and receiving which is disrupted by Jesus’ instruction to give, where unconditional means forgetting the self and losing the ego.
